
Yam chips are a popular Ghanaian street food that I love to indulge in whenever I can. Despite their deliciousness, they are not the healthiest as they are usually deep fried and therefore high in fat and calories. Well, I opted for a healthier alternative by baking them and they came out tasting exactly the same as the deep fried version. These baked chips could not be easier to make as they require only 2 ingredients! So without further ado, here is the recipe:-

BAKED YAM CHIPS
Ingredients
- 1/2 a tuber of yam
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions

Cut your yam into strips and soak them in water for 5 minutes.

Dry them and add them to a baking tray. Coat them in coconut oil and salt.

Place them in the oven at 180*C for 30 minutes. Keep flipping them to the other sides every few minutes so that all sides brown.

Take out and enjoy!
