PEANUT BUTTER, OATMEAL AND RICE KRISPIES BAR | MAKE-AHEAD SNACK

 

Here is a delicious and filling snack bar to get you through your 4pm slump! I had been searching for a delicious, healthy and homemade snack bar for a long time and one day I decided to mix a few ingredients in my cupboard together and get baking. Well, this was the result- a delicious snack bar that I was able to prep for the week. No, Rice Krispies are not a common ingredient in oat bars but the texture worked! Without further ado, here is the recipe:-

 


 

Ingredients:-

2 tbs coconut oil

3 tbs nut butter

1 cup milk of your choice

2 tsps chia seeds

150g (rolled) oats

50 grams puffed rice (Rice Krispies)

2 tbs maple syrup

How to:-

  1. Add all your ingredients into a big bowl and mix until combined.
  2. On a baking tray lined with grease-proof paper, pour your mixture on top and lay out flat.
  3. Place in the fridge to cool for 30 minutes.
  4. When cool, cut in slices and enjoy!
