HEALTHIER BAKED KELEWELE (PLANTAIN): 3 WAYS

BBBB BAKED KELEWELE

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe plantain
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp all-purpose seasoning cube
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp grated garlic
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Slice your plantain into fry-like sticks/circles/traditional shape.

  2. In a bowl, blend your onion and mix all the ingredients together.

  3. Pour the mix on your plantain and coat every plantain with the marinade.

  4. Lay on a baking tray lined with grease-proof paper and put in the oven at 200 degree celsius for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Broil for an extra 5 minutes for an extra crunch.

  5. Take out and enjoy!
