PLANTAIN AND APPLE OAT CRUMBLE

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1 small ripe plantain
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 200 ml water
  • 300 g oats
  • 100 g almond flakes

Instructions

  • Chop your apples and plantain into small pieces.
  • Add your coconut oil to a saucepan on a medium heat.Add your apple and plantain pieces and stir for 1 minute.
  • Add your water and 1 tsp of cinnamon, put the lid on the pan and let simmer for 5 minutes or until the apple and plantain have softened.
  • In a bowl, add your oats, almond flakes, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix together, add your maple syrup then mix again. 
  • In whichever baking dish/es you find, scoop your apple mixture on it/them. Then, add your oat and almond mixture on top. 
  • Bake in the oven at 180*C for 15 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown! Take out and enjoy!x
